2 groups of 20 (intermediate level or above) subjects listened to, and read two 400 headword level graded readers - The Elephant Man and One-Way Ticket. There were three tests. 7 items were tested at each frequency level = totaling 28 per test. 7 words were met 15 to 18 times, and seven more 10-13 times, 6 to 9 times and 2 to 3 times.
